Samsung S5 Duos (Dual Sim)

I have my work SIM and personal SIM in it so most used app is Mail.

Tapatalk comes in the top 5. (Hint Hint to the Mods)

I've an Oppo Find 7A that's served well for a couple of years but have ordered the new Oneplus 3 (can't wait :))
How do you like the OnePlus 3?

I imagine that after seeing the new Pixel phones that plenty of Nexus users are opting for the OnePlus or something else this year.

I had the Nexus 4 then 5 and went to the OnePlus One. Ordered the OnePlus 3 on launch day and can't complain. Aside from the charger cable being different and having to get all new cords.

The price to hardware ratio is hard to beat and the developer community seems to be supporting it very well on XDA. I'm running mine stock rooted with Blue Spark kernel and some dpi tweaks.

No task manager or anything. 6 gigs of RAM is unreal and the thing just flies like no other phone I've ever had. I'm getting all day on the battery with 5 to 6 even more sometimes screen on time.

I actually like the alert slider along with an app that lets you customize how it works at each position.

I do miss wireless charging and am disappointed that Google didn't release a third gen Nexus 7 tablet, but change is inevitable.

I am going to keep this phone for a few years so long as it goes the distance. The One did well enough for two years but the battery began struggling to get a whole day. Seemed time to upgrade anyway.

The 810 chip was a bad choice and I saw nothing else I liked in the OnePlus 2 or X.

Aside from hearing that they have awful customer service if you ever need it, the custom ROMs and tweaks available for their devices are fantastic. I am able to do pretty much anything I can do on a tablet or notebook on mine.

Yeah the camera isn't the best and the screen isn't 4K, but it's still a phone at the end of the day. A beast of a phone.

I've not had it too long but I'm liking it immensely so far. It's a great phone.

Great phone in its day the S2, my son is still using one and it must be 5 years old. My old S3 is still going string too..
I too use an S3... my neighbour's cast off! It's fine. After two years with it I'm getting the hang of it.

Just today my Mrs started to sound like she wants to move on from the Nokia 1100. I told her that 15 year old Nokias will be back in fashion very soon. But I don't think she believed me.

Do you think I should simply look for the best Samsung S4 or S5 I can find...I'd prefer as new(ish) as reasonably possible and spotted some "New" S5s on Amazon and ebay.

OR

Should I think about doing what everyone else seems to do....and get an Apple iphone?

Strangely, I did see the same view expressed an hour ago online somewhere.

I only lean towards a Samsung as it took me two yrs to get used to it....and wonder if it'll take two yrs for the Mrs to learn how to use a different make given that I won't be so familiar with it myself.

You'll be able to pick up any android phone and get used to it in no time. They are all the same under the skin.. :)
You'll have to learn IOS all over again and I don't find it is intuitive after using android..
