What made your day a good one?

I used to get eggs from a guy who had chickens, they were small to medium sized and every single one was always a double yolk. Very strange, but they were good!
These were supermarket “free range”.
When we get the opportunity, we try to get them from a small local producer.
Recently had some very tasty duck eggs - a lovely change from our usual.

They were organic breed chickens, and fed organic natural food to produce more protein food inside the eggs. Which is far better source of protein than cage chickens eggs.

That’s not the reason for double yokes.

Double yokes most frequently come from chickens about 9 months old (I’m remembering the ages from memory so I might be a few months off). And because they are young the eggs can often be a little small. Although the small size might also be because they chickens are a small breed.

Father’s Day.

Got up a bit later than normal, cup of coffee and chat with kids while I opened up a couple of gifts and cards. Little trip out shopping and a Macdonalds breakfast again with Mrs Saint and the kids. Spot of shopping and back home for a relaxed sit in the garden with the kids. Nice t bone steak for dinner and watching the football. A simple enough day but relaxed and the kids make me so very proud of them.

Without getting into the details, every now and then you knew something over ten years ago which led you to make a decision for which now you have confirmation that you made the right decision. :D
Sometimes I think the World must be split into two camps, those who anticipate, plan and act accordingly and others who never consider where they are and what could happen, living a day at a time.

I am in Camp Planning, a friend is in Camp Fate, he drives me nuts by blaming everyone else when problems occur to him and his family in every aspect of their life, he even has nine children by three women!

Regarding my post, the idea that a leopard can’t change its spots is applicable. When you see a person, as with your example, they fit into the classic definition of insanity doing the same things over and over with the expectation of differing outcomes.

I try to make informed choices, weighing options, risks vs benefits, and so forth.
