This may not help your old one, but I run a mixture of white vinegar and water through these units occasionally and it helps significantly.
What made your day a crap one?

Good suggestion and I have done that with the old maker a few times. The last vinegar and water did not fix it.

Just enjoying a nice mug of black coffee with demerara brown sugar. A good end to the day which started badly. No vinegar was used to clean the new coffee maker just a couple of runs of hot water through it before making a full carafe excellent coffee.You didn't tell him to wash out the vinegar before making coffee

had a terrible SOTD... that was our hands fault not the gear... got a shallow 3" slice... and barely removed any fur off the beard area...

Ouch. Get well soon, the gear we are using can be sometimes really painful.
I once had cut my upper lip so badly that I had pain there for three days when trying to eat.

I was admitted to hospital on Monday, released today. I blew my nose on Monday morning and the damn thing just would not stop bleeding, after about a litre of blood I rang for help and they took me in, The same thing happened about two years ago. After many blood tests it was found that platelets in the blood were 50000, they should be a minimum of 150,000. I had two units of plasma on Monday and then two blood transfusions on Tuesday. three hours each one.
Staff were vague about what the cause of the low blood count but then I was in ENT and not haematology, and medicine is so specialised, no wonder many docs now use AI for diagnosis.
