What is the worst job you ever had?

And maybe you should keep your stupid comments to yourself. You really don’t add much to this site except in trying to wind people up. Congratulations - you succeeded this time.
I assume you have some small expertise in sharpening things, but otherwise are a stupid twit. If you've added anything. it's been little or no benefit that could be acquired elsewhere..

Actually, I watched the documentary about how some of the screen Idols met their unfortunate end, and it was a myth that Jane Mansfield was decapitated, see was obviously killed in the crash but she definitely didn't lose her head.
I read that she was wearing a hairpiece that detached in the crash and that was the source of the rumour. The incident was instrumental in the installation of the safety bars though.

@Twelvefret and @UKRob stop it now guys. No more posts attacking each other.
Chris - I’m not attacking him, just responding to his constant attempts to wind people up. You will not find any post by me that instigates a problem, but I refuse to let his inane and contentious comments go unanswered. And, before you mention it, I’m aware of the ignore button.

If he comes back at you report it and the mods will deal with it, don’t be tempted to respond and get drawn in. I am aware of who cast the first stone but you lose the moral high ground if you respond in kind.

I apologize to you and the forum, Chris. I take full responsibility.

The guy has rubbed me the wrong way since day one. It will not happen again. I guarantee.
If you don't want to see posts from a particular member there is an ignore button you can use.

Now that I think of it, there was one part time job... good job, but poor conditions..

Another Tool & Die Shop. Poorly equipped.. machinery on it's last legs, but, anyone can do good work on a high quality machine tool in good condition. The owner was a little Italian man.. nice guy, but probably felt the heat less than this mad dog. No AC in the shop, and a black tar roof. In summer, he kept the doors closed to keep out the heat and humidity. It didn't work! Sweat would run into my eyes so I couldn't see. Whenever I looked down, the sweat would run off my head onto the floor.. Brutal, and I'll never forget it.

He made his own wine though, and he'd give me a few bottles every year. Some were blends if he didn't have enough of one variety of grapes. They were very good..

Reminds me of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire where the doors were locked to prevent a slow down in production and which lead to 123 women and girls and 23 men loosing their lives.

IMO, there isn't any actual causal relationship between the first sentence and the second one, but ordering them as you have makes it look like you're trying to make the connection.
I found it to be fairly common that people in power resort to what you described regardless of their gender, religion or whether they look like a flaming purple unicorn or not.
JMO….what I have found as the difference between male and female supervisors. If you are at odds with a male supervisor, in a short period of time it will tend to resolve itself and life will go on. A female supervisor will hold on to whatever both people were at odds with and bring it back up even if it is years later.

I had a night job at a pre-stress concrete plant. My job was scrubbing down the inside of the forms, mainly the forms for in-ground light pole bases like you'd see in a mall or grocery store parking lot.

The mold release was a mixture of chicken fat and diesel fuel. The smell was awful. The molds were around 10' long so I'd have to crawl inside and scrub everything down with steel wool, then wipe it down with a rag. then crawl back in and install the electical conduits. It's hard to explain how smelly I was after a 6 hour night shift.

Thankfully, I got a job at a plant that made porcelain insulators, so I was only there for a couple months. Upstate NY, in case anyone wanted to know.

Fish packing. I did it for a day and then left!

Smelly and cold. Poorly paid and breaks were frowned upon. It spurred me on to find something else.
