I noticed this phenomenon recently with my hard puck of Fine’s Snake Bite. Thought initially it was my imagination. Now I’m thinking maybe it does have something to do with the water. I hadn’t used the Snake Bite since last summer. In the interim I moved one county over last autumn. The water supply here on Long Island is strictly local groundwater. Comparatively, the NYC water shed is located in upstate NY, some 50+ miles north of the city, and is by all measures (i.e., taste, contaminants, hardness, mineral and chlorine content, etc., etc.) “better” in my mind. My other soaps behave differently also, but none as noticeably as Fine’s. Thanks for the validation.

Hound Will. Chances are good he’ll bring it back. Sometimes it takes a few years, but if you have patience you just may see it again. I’m waiting for fresh runs of Diamond and Oceana for what feels like a good four or five years since the last run. If memory serves, it was about that long before Will brought them back that time, so who knows? Maybe next Spring if we’re lucky! 🤞
