What has been your best purchase of 2016?

I've wanted one of those since I clapped on one many moons ago.

Must confess I do like the burgundy and black design and seems a steal at £25 including a nice travel case. Never tried a a bakelite razor and wondered if the head dragged? Some of my black razors have terrible drag.

I've used a vintage Minora, I think? Which was great, no head dragging at all, so I assume this will be the same.
A good excuse to buy one anyways, to give it a test.

It is getting quite some attention the TR-1 of late, shame it didn't get it when it was still available for purchase; it may have encouraged Barbaros to continue to manufacture!

I feel that the TR-1 will be very similar to the Tradere and Weber where, if you didn't buy one back then, you might very much be kicking yourself for not picking one up.
With only 120 TR-1 razors ever made they will unfortunately also end up being one of the hardest razors to find going forward
Love mine.

In terms of value, my silver Ever Ready silvertip brush. In terms of actual pleasure shaving, its either the 1970s Gillette blades or the Morny shaving soap.
