Okay so there are three main recipes...
The "original" which was supposed to be similar to MdC but isn't really. I found this superb for straight razor shaves actually but poor for safety razors.
The original formula scents are: Traditionnel, Cologne/Fougere, Cedre/Orange, Cedre/Patchouli, Nature, Barbershop & Abricot.
Next came the "limited edition" recipe which contains tallow and shea butter. The only scent in this is the Oud/Santal, I found it provided a slightly denser, more oily tallow lather but the main characteristics of the original are still there.
Lastly is the "premium" formula. This uses shea butter, coconut oil & glycerin. For me it's on-par with MdC, probably better even. However, if you favour US artisans soaps you still won't like this one.
Premium scents are: Rose de Pushkar, Vetiver, Oud/Neroli, Bay Rum & Narcisse.
So in summary, you have only tried the bad one's
BUT, if you enjoy US tallow soaps (which I think you do?) then you will probably not find much to love in any LPL soap and should save your money for something else.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that.
I cannot comment as I've not tried it but it comes in plastic jars and is marketed 1/3 cheaper than LPL branded soaps so I would guess it's not going to be anything special.

Hi, Paul. Yes, the knot is 26.5mm per the website. It’s a good size for me; most of the brushes on my shelf are in that vicinity.
The Pegasus Mistura continues to open up. Interestingly, it’s taking longer to break in than straight boar knots from Semogue. The TSN Final Edition Mistura is still the superior knot, but the Pegasus continues to live up to its potential.
