No fanny packs for me. I started taking a backpack everywhere as a teen. Later, when I was in sales I used a traditional briefcase for my edc needs. After my career change to school-based speech therapist, the business briefcase was swapped out for a backpack which I would sling over my right shoulder. Wallet, keys, phone, pens and pencils, book, newspaper, torch (flashlight here), lunch, hand sanitizer, bandana, and other miscellaneous do-dads. Nowadays the only regular edc items I take are wallet, keys and phone. These fit comfortably in pants and or coat pockets. That said, I do occasionally miss my old backpack
