My three have arrived and Opium smells amazing. Utterly amazing. Cognac and Cigars is lovely too. And Sandalwood is my least favourite but is still nice. Looking forward to trying Opium tomorrow

Just had a shave using the Opium. Heavenly.

While showering, I've lathered three of my soaps. Latherquality is great, as with the previous groupbuy. Rich creamy lather, helping the shave, in the upper quarter where nourishing properties are concerned. Really good stuff. Really.
The Mandarin/Menthol straight from the container smells like mentol, with underneath some fruitiness. This was at first a bit of a disappointment, as when opening the envelope my soaps arrived in, I was greeted with a whiff of very fresh and coll mandarin. Lathering the soap the smell develops into a rich and full mandarin-zest, fading out into the smell of a fresh, slightly sour mandarin. Not a complex smell, but I expect this to be very nice on a warm day.
The Mystic Woods smells beautifully complex and sweet and woody from the container. When lathering, it develops in a nice woody smell, of forest and moss and resin, reminds me of SV- Felce Aromatico, except less pine and more sandalwood (cedar as well?), I think I like this better.
Opium is the smell I have most difficulties describing, as it is very complex. I wouldn't say it is very layered, as in different components coming to the fore after time, but it has a lot of components that seem to fit together very well, to make a rich, spicy, woody, slightly citrusy smell, centered around a benzoe base with a touch of sweetness to keep it light.
Really happy with these soaps.
