Unpopular opinions

99.9% of what I say on here is firmly tongue in cheek and means zero insult to anyone, I have a sarcastic slant to my humour which can be taken the wrong way especially by younger members who take everything far to literally, they tend to see the written word as black and white and without a nice little picture on the end to highlight it was a joke tend to take it the wrong way. In their world emoji's are important to set the tone of the message sent.

My sense of humour exactly Wayne. I never got insulted by your writings, I can feel the vibe and the way you write them.

I was banned for 3 days from a Greek forum because of my excessive humour & fun posts.


I decided not to participate again in my mother's language forum even if it easier for me to write there than here, in ATG because I have to use English words.

I write many times things directly from from my mind without thinking them twice. My opinion about a soap or a brush..

Of course I never insulted anyone personally or anything like that.

But to some people my sense of humour is not acceptable.

I believe here is better for me..Who knows.

Thanks Wayne. Me too. I know what you mean. I didn't expect to agree with people from other countries so much, than with greeks. But then, it happens.

I've posted this before, so sorry for the repetition. I received a serious warning from a moderator at Badger & Blade when I replied to a thread about food scented soap. I said my two fave shaving soaps with food scents were Goat Vindaloo and Tatties n' Herring. A week later I replied to one of those threads where men mix an aftershave or a cream with Williams soap & then give it a cute name like "Blue Willy" (Aqua Velva); "Iced Willy" (Alcolado Glacial) etc. I said that I squirted a wee bit of Kiss My Face cream into the mug with the Williams to make the "Kiss My Willy."

I was banned in perpetuity for my "lack of gentlemanly bearing" or some such meaningless phrase.

This thread is getting more & more interesting.

Once I make a macabre joke in Badger & Blade about the Maca Root Cream.

I wrote that the body shop company should produce only the old formula of Maca Root or else I would send them an envelope with anthrax. A guy even answered and told me "wow man, it s only a cream!"

A mod pm me and said not to make threats and threaten companies and people working there. I wasn't banned. I could have.

I thought I was such a jerk. Hahaha

He wrote it once somewhere here, really incredible story, I thought the forum was very rude and strict to him for no obvious reason.

I fell foul of the moderators on another shaving forum last week. I asked "does the world really need another 5 Top Soaps thread?", the OP called me names, some other guy told me to relax. Then when I posted "Are you ordering me to enjoy myself...?" all the posts were deleted. Now the world has yet another "5 Top Soaps" thread........

Of course, moderators are lovely people, fond of flowers, kind to animals, love their mothers.......how could they ever be wrong. Damn, just realised this forum has moderators too........ At this point I should insert a smiley, but since I've never ever done so I don't know how. Please don't tell me.....

Luckily this forum was started because of an over moderation in another forum, so I think you are safe here. The ATG mods also have an understanding and a more adult approach to their roles. Your in safe hands! I always add emoji because I'm always smiling, sorry if it offends any one.
