I loved the book and the film. The Beta Band scene is sooo true. So, I was watching High Fidelity the TV series...
Just after 20 minutes of the first episode, I couldn't help myself, I had to watch this scene:

Trekker is a dedicated fan, Trekkie is what numbskulls call Trekkers. That is Trekker, kinda like magazine and clip.
The newer the trek, the further the wrong direction it goes.
There are now to different sets of star trek folks. The original time line (Kirk,Spock,McCoy) VS everything that happened after JJ Abraham's ruined the story forever.
I watched the original ones as they came out. In black and white. I did not know there were red shirts until 1973, was overseas in the Army and saw it in color.
What is out now is pure rubbish.
Racial issues were front and center on much of the original Star Trek, it went to gender equality on the Next Generation.Social topics (hot or otherwise) are the entire point of Star Trek. And of science fiction in general, for that matter.
That is some amazing television! It's so relaxing, no, soothing to watch. The beauty of handicraft combined with the tragedy of linear time. Very emotionally satisfying in an odd way.Repair Shop (when I don't have time to watch stuff)
That good huh? The first season was really good. At half of the second I think it became a bit boring to me, it seemed all the same.Currently on series 5 of Power on Netflix. Best TV I've watched in a long time. Fantastic.
When you will be at the ultimate episode, do not forget to watch after the ending credits as well.Currently on series 5 of Power on Netflix. Best TV I've watched in a long time. Fantastic.
Yeah, it is kinda "samey", but the stories are different enough to keep watching it...That good huh? The first season was really good. At half of the second I think it became a bit boring to me, it seemed all the same.
Since there will probably be some quarantine at homestays, I just might get back to that and some other tv shows.
