Oh God. After having it recommended (by women only, who added that they had been watching it with their partners and all loved it) we gave Little Big Lies a chance. For f’s sake. I hate the plot setup, starting with the end; I truly don’t feel the motivations of people’s actions; and apart from with one single character, not one is deserving of a shred of sympathy. It’s all about appearance. If people live like this, I pity them. To me it’s so out of this world that I don’t buy it.

Has anyone seen it? It’s on HBO (streaming) here.
My wife has been watching this avidly and highly rated it, but I've only caught the odd bits here and there.

I thought the shallowness was intended and, in my opinion, the way the story unfolded, working backwards from a crime series, was well written. All in all, I enjoyed it especially the production values and good performances from the big names.

While mourning the loss of Halt and Catch Fire (officially the greatest TV show nobody watched), I've delved into Tin Star. Tim Roth is great value as always but three episodes in and the plot seems very contrived so far.

Mutiny has been tremendous entertainment.

Anticipating the imminent arrival of the latest Stranger Things and Peaky Blinders.

I can't wait for this, I loved the first series. I binge watched the first series twice when I came out of hospital at the beginning of the year. I'm catching up on it again now so I'm all set for the second. I don't know how they managed to capture the feel of the eighties classics.
A film with the same feel that I enjoyed immensely was Super 8.

Anticipating the imminent arrival of the latest ... Peaky Blinders.
As do I. Terrific series — the universe, the music, the lighting and photo, acting, story. And, added bonus, my better half loves it too.

Anyone tried the series on HBO featuring the one that played the Jew boss in Peaky Blinders Alfie Solomon (Tom Hardy)? Taboo, it’s called.

I watched Taboo, spectacular show, also great photo, camera, characters... very similar to Penny Dreadful. Never seen Victorian London so real.

I've been tearing through this over the last couple of days. Glad they've kept up the quality of previous seasons. Top-notch TV drama.

And Bojack Horseman is back for another season as well. Thank you Netflix.
Also catching up with Narcos - just finished season 2 and really enjoyed it :)
