Yes, you were right, it's very good. I have no problem with differing opinions, but his review was either to justify his preconceived ideas, a hatchet job because of a beef with Titaner, or maybe he got up on the wrong side of the bed. But spreading rubbish about it being unuseable is pretty weak.

I know it's nice to support artisans plying their trade, and Titaner definitely isn't that. And I was put off a little at first by their advertising, which did rub me the wrong way. But I'm glad I listened to you and Str8mug and gave it a try, it was worth it.

Pretty much every review of a personal care product is bound to be biased if it's just one person reviewing based on their use.
Most people have set preferences for razors after some time and after having read a bunch of his reviews, I don't think Errol is an exception there.

I have a few issues with my TiGlide S1 - on mine, I have to grip the razor near the cutting edge to make it clamp a blade properly. If I don't, the blade is secure there but the chatter is significant.
The retention pins are just too small for comfortable use.
I find that I also have to screw the screw in pretty tight to secure it, and I don't think the screw is going to be able to take it for a long time.

That's in addition to their support not replying to three emails spanning over two weeks.

Are you snapping the blade in two? Have you tried cutting it with scissors? Loading, for me couldn't be simpler, and I've definitely never needed to torque that little bolt. How did you pay? If you used PayPal, open a dispute and get their attention.

I have zero issues with clamping but I use pre cut blades because the bend on snapped blades are a pain and I definitely don't have to tighten it to death, I only tighten as much as I do any of my razors.
Your spot on about the pins being too small, I agree with you all the way on that one.
It just goes to show YMMV.

@Copperhead, @Johnny Bravo: I've tried it with both pre-cut blades and snapped blades, and it's an issue with both.
It's also odd it shipped with a blade loaded in the razor.

I'm not sure opening a PayPal case would help, as it might be an issue with overall design and others just don't mind it as much.

I might just let it cirulate in a passaround instead.

As the other two shave brethren have mentioned, I believe the issue is with the snapping of the blade you are using in half which leaves a bend at the tips that doesn't allow the razor head to be seated properly. It doesn't help either that the post alignment pins are much to small. As has been suggested, just cut the end tabs on the blade that was snapped just enough to eliminate the slight bend. Don't cut too much as it will leave you with no alignment grooves to set the blade against the pin stops.

Or, it could just be a defective unit.

Sounds like a faulty razor, I nearly sliced my finger open with the supplied blade.
I have never experienced that before and promptly put it in my used blades bank.

Yes, in the rotation permanently might I add. Just a quick mention on the Ti Glide by Titaner that has been a more than capable shaver for me. Smooth on the skin and ruthless on the whiskers from start to finish. In hand, it has that cartridge razor type feel but, more substantial with very good balance overall. The shave falls in between an injector & de blade type infusion that delivers excellent results. Gimmicky to a large extent on looks alone but, in make up, execution of the design and endgame performance, it truly is a remarkable shaver. That it is made in Titanium with perfect tolerances combining magnetic clamping & thread screw mechanism, it ensures very tight and rigid blade support for great stability. One of the first gimmick like razors of the few that I’ve purchased in this shave journey that actually works as intended to near perfection. Overall, an excellent product & shaver.
