Well that‘s a bugger. Used the new formula yesterday and ended up looking like a ripe tomato. No irritation from the tallow version I used today.

Dug out a Tabac soap today I hadn't used for some time. Its lather and slickness is second to none. Leaves you with a great, moisturised feel for the rest of the day too.

I’m a few weeks in on Tabac.

ARKO was last soap. Liked ARKO performance and scent was fine. I think i associated the smell with good shaves so like it. Have used TOBS before. Nicer smell not as good lather as ARKO.

TABAC is a less intense smell. Clean and fresh, reminds me of my dad shaving (a good thing). Performance is excellent. Really good. Lathers as easily as ARKO and is very slick. I’m a face latherer and it works really well. I’d put it top out of tabac, ARKO abd TOBS.

Lsting very well so my plan to try Proraso next might be a while.

Had a tabac tuesday head shave today, first time I've really enjoyed tabac tbh,
actually could smelt the scent this time around lol

Maybe tabac might grow on me now?
Lesson for me is stick with a product for a while before dismissing it

Those intensely scented soaps and AS were typical of the 1960s (maybe 1950s too). A fellow on another forum posted that his dad used Old Spice in 1969 when he was 12 years old, and he could be playing with his friends two blocks over and knew exactly when his dad left the house!

I have a bottle of ‘60s Old Spice AS and use it like EdP, any more and I couldn’t stand to be around myself.
