Be interested to try this. I have just bought another Sheffield (a Haddon Works) razor for cheap and will be interested to see how this compares to vintage Sheffield Silver Steel.

@Nishy I bought the Osgar as was in better condition. The Kropp was apparently made by Osbourne and Garrett too :)

I won't be too much longer with these. Chief Brody. It's a question of my beard growing to a few days growth for each razor and being "in the mood" for a straight shave rather than an easy smooth shave with a my Parker 24C and a Voshkod lol. Bought my third straight now from whipped dog which will be my daily driver as the Sheffield blades are too nice to screw up. As I say nice to compare Solingen work to Blighty work!

Razors have left me now. Should be with Chief soon.

Ohhh sorry my impressions. Well I am very new to straight razor shaving. I have a Sheffield Straight that ai bought and was interested to compare vintage German Steel to Sheffield. These were nice and smooth. I only shaved with one pass on cheeks, chin and neck and finished off with a DE razor. However they were really nice razors. I would like to know who honed them because he can do my razor any day!

@Chief Brody take it slowly and don't rush and you will be fine. Have a look at a few youtube videos as well.

Hiya buddy I honed the Kropp, I prefer a smooth shaver and tend to finish on a 12k. Smooth and close is my preference as opposed to crisp and close.
