The vintage nibs I tried were fine without lots of pressure. Medium and Broad were near identical in testing. A vintage Montblanc broad was a lot thicker compared to the Pelikan 400.

Nice thing about the Jotter is that they accept modern gel refills. I use OHTO 5mm in a Jotter from the brass threads era.
I prefer a 1.0mm ball refill, instead of a 0.5mm, sometimes doesn't give enough flow to write smoothly, regardless of the quality of the paper..... YMMV

I just looked at a Parker pen collecting site and it suggests its from the late 1970's, as it has no date code and has "Made in England" stamped on it. It has a Blue Parker plastic logo on the cap, which apparently dates it in someway.

If so, it must be from when i was in college, but i really dont remember buying it, just that its been in my possession / desk forever.

I had the fountain pen version when I was in school in the late 1980s, sadly it's now lost to the mists of time.
This may be a reason for the popularity of 1980s pens. People, especially men, remember their Parker 25s and 45s and look to buy them again on ebay, they buy a Parker case to keep them safe and find that they now need a matching ballpoint.

I think there is something similar in the car world, teenagers in the 1980s couldn't afford to buy or insure fast Fords but now they are in a position to buy they want the restored XR2s and 3s and try to relive their lost youth.
