I read about this miracle in the early 2000s on B&B … As many others stuffs MDC is overrated since always imho . A good soap nothing else .
Have you tried it recently? Perhaps your opinion of it would change? I do understand why people are sometimes underwhelmed with MdC soaps. Despite the fact that it’s a hard and long lasting soap, it loads very easily. As a result, if the load is too heavy, the soap takes much more water than one might think. It’s like everything else wet shaving, some things just take longer to dial in.

Greetings,

Early morning face & head shave.

The Erasmic shave cream is a great inexpensive shaving cream that doesn't have much of a scent, but makes up for it's performance and post shave feel.

Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.😉

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.😎

Tuesday 8th April

Aleppo soap- Shave pre wash
Cyril Salter- MS Ed2band
Lea Classic soap
Alpha Claymore Evolution V1
Feather Pro ( 6 )
Lea Classic A/S Lotion

Tidied up Shaving shelf in Bathroom, now only 7 brushes to choose from, thrown out a few soaps but not really made any impression. Discovered I had plenty Vitos Red and unused Lea Classic original. Very pleased with Shave today as an excellent lather made it go so smoothly and a nice overall finish attained.
Off to Post Office as passing on a Razor that I rarely use, a lot more should go but there does not seem much demand, unless someone is chasing a specific one.

Is only my personal opinion . I know very well, there are many fan of MDC .
Unfortunately I have tried many soaps and I’m not underwhelmed. but I don't consider it exceptional, is a good artisan soap .
just as I didn't consider the first SV 4.0/ 4.1 exceptional (despite being Italian) . 4.3 is another level imho .
I’m still a big fan of some artisans, but Today I’m more selective also about the standard production .
I don’t know if you ever seen the ridiculous laboratory of some soap makers ( European and USA) and where the SV soaps come from ?

Pre - Pears Transparent Original
Brush - Semogue SOC BTS Boar
Soap - Tabac
Razor - ATT S1 Slant
Blade - Polsilver Super Iridium
Post - Cold water Rinse
Balm - Vintage Tabac Black
A/S - Tabac Aftershave Splash & EDC
Wk 15 (4).jpg

The Original ATT S1 slant version is a razor that feels mild on the skin and also feels very comfortable throughout the shave, you can up the shave by either using a KAI DE blade or use a shim. It gave a really nice shave today as its standard self.
A plentiful lather from the Smog-Hog / Tabac combo with enough for my 2 full passes and touch ups.
Finishing with a Tabac post shave routine, all in all a very nice Tabac Tuesday.
Enjoy your day all.
