For me the Brassbird is the best razor to come out of Blacklands stable, it gives perfect results every time, today fitted with a blade on its 8th outing it was as smooth as silk leaving me with a very close, comfortable finish from 3 full passes. This blade will get another run out tomorrow as i have easily taken KAI blades to 10 shaves plus.
Yeah, Nice shave that.
Enjoy your day all.

This is the 5th razor I have honed of the new Ozuko Mizo Asagi. The 4 previous razors were honed and refreshed using a Koma, then finished on water. I have completed 4 full shaves using the Koma Nagura. I have nothing negative to report back; 4 very smooth, comfortable shaves. On this razor, I went for a Tomo Ozuku nagura with no Koma finished on water. My conclusion? There is no noticeable difference in the edges or the shaves between a Koma and an Ozuko Tomo. So there we have it.

Very pleased with the brush on its first use. I had tried one some years ago, together with other LE, and this was my favourite of the lot, so it’s nice to have one now.

Pre shave: Hot shower and Neutrogena glycerin soap bar.
Razor: 1958 Gillette TV special super speed.
Blade: Feather (6).
Brush: Yaqi bluish violet 26mm synthetic.
Soap: Glasgow soap company Parma Violet.
Post shave: Nivea men sensitive post shave balm.

Today was the first go around with the TV super speed.
I was expecting it to be much more mild than I'm used to with the adjustables and I was correct there as there was no blade feel to speak of.

what I wasn't expecting though was just how damn shockingly efficient the thing is.
It mowed through the hair like nobody's business and made for a very close, smooth 3 pass BBS shave.

Gillette really was the best a man can get, back in the day.

Have a good one!
