That was a lovely relaxing shave.
The Mellon head on a DS cosmetics handle and Personna blade made light work of my growth. The Stirling soap was luxurious and the splash, refreshing.
Super smooth and feeling fresh.

Tatara Muramasa vs Rocnel Sailor

I thought I’d give these two a comparison as they’ve taken a back seat in my den due to recent acquisitions so time to dust them off!

The Muramasa’s adjustable system is clever, increasing both gap and exposure, but it never really commits to meaningful blade feel. For my beard, settings 1 - 3 are effectively redundant and a clear oversight by Tatara not giving this razor a bigger bite as even at 5 it can’t match my Nodachi Razor.

On setting 3 the Rocnel Sailor engages the beard immediately and cuts with far less effort, delivering a more direct, efficient feel. The Muramasa takes more work to achieve the same result, so for me the Rocnel’s a clear winner.
