Underused soap week continues with Proraso Wood and Spice. This is the soap from the Barber’s shave that I was gifted a few years ago on Father’s Day. I still absolutely adore it, even though the cologne is the strongest I own! Two and a half sprays at about 7:30 in the morning and it’s still going strong this evening! It’s a bit of a beast but smells amazing.
The Era was lovely on each pass and has really helped make me reconsider open combs. It’s an absolute pussy cat even when I switched to plate 5 on my final pass.

Not exactly the season you'd normally see Samhain in rotation, but clocked it on the shelf, thought it's been a while since I've had a sniff and I know it's a great scent - next thing I know I'm already on the second pass . This soap base is for me hands down one of my favourite non tallow soaps, I'll take this anyday over PAA.

Shaving without incident.
Lathering in the bowl more thoroughly, step by step. I got better brushing, thicker coat applied to face.
Unfortunately the lubrication is missing after the blade passes. Skin stays dry, no water remains on it either. RazorEmporium's base is only good for me in the summer, when I don't need the oily residue at 40 degrees outside.

Fragrance: A fresh, dry, almost hospital-like santal.
