Pre shave: Hot shower and Neutrogena glycerin soap bar
Razor: 1956 Gillette flare tip super speed
Blade: Feather (3)
Brush: Captain Fawcett Synthetic V
Soap: Pinnacle Grooming Who ya gonna call
Post shave: Who ya gonna call aftershave splash

This was my first time trying out the flare tip super speed after having tried the TV special, previously so.
I was expecting a similar experience to that razor and it didn't disappoint.
Mild with no real blade feel but very efficient.

Although I have to say that I think the TV special has the edge as far as efficiency is concerned, which was most noticeable on the first pass.

Overall though it delivered a very comfortable, easy shave with perfect results and no post shave issues.
I honestly think outside of a Gillette adjustable, the flare tip may just be the perfect beginners to daily driver razor, especially when you consider how readily available and inexpensive they are.

Pinnacles soap performed very well again, especially paired with the Glycerin soap pre shave prep and the warm amber forward scent has really grown on me.

Finished off with the matching aftershave splash which kicks like a mule but soothes the skin very nicely.

Have a great weekend!

Special Shave Day,

Today I broke out my Gillette Adjustable (D1). The Toggle it is in pristine original condition. To think that it was designed with pencil, paper, and slide rulers is hard to comprehend today. It shaves better than any of my other Vintage or modern razors. I am blessed to have it along with an F4.

Proraso pre-shave, Gillette Toggle with Nacet blade, Omega EVO brush, Stirling Soap Co Arance Mandarini soap, Omega alum, Thayers facial toner, Stirling Soap Co Arance Mandarini balm & cologne. Flawless BBS shave!
