Muji moisturising milk
I'll write a few words on the Muji moisturizer (apologies to all Brit friends, I generally prefer using American English when I type).
Efficacy: 3.5 out of 5
Scent: 0 out of 5 (practically unscented)
Cooling sensation: 1 out of 5
Oily feeling: 3 out of 5 (with "5" being described as 'very oily feeling')
Protection (moisturizing strength): 3 out of 5
Compared to (just a few examples):
NIVEA asb (regular) - Nivea is more 'middle of the road', offers more cooling sensation and a tad less oily feeling, but I would say it moisturizes slightly less as well. Constitution (fluidity) of both is roughly the same.
Castle Forbes asb - no comparison but obviously here the price positioning is completely different. CF offers both highly discreet cooling sensation and also the necessary moisturizing provision, exhibiting an exemplary absorption ability without adding any kind of oily feeling.
Speick after shave balm - higher cooling sensation here as well, together with sufficient and long-lasting moisturizing ability that does not suffer from oily feeling.
Speick face cream - a much heavier and stronger moisturizer, for considerably colder climates.
D.R. Harris milk(s) - relatively equal oily feeling, would dare to say the constitution of the DRH milk is slightly lighter without this of course denoting that the moisturizing effect is necessarily lower.
Trumpers Skin Food - gel vs. milk constitution, with the end result being slightly more cooling if you use the skin food. Oily feeling obviously less with the skin food option as well.
No comparison or judgment on the ingredients used. Just a brief, first opinion on the above.

I just love using the Brassbird, a very smooth, comfortable razor, for me the smoothest Blackbird i have tried.
Today paired with a Med Prep had me BBS in 2 passes with a little bit touch-up here and there.

We're through the dog days of summer. In the wake of hurricane Debbie it has been unreasonably cool. It time to break out products that are more appropriate for fall. The Arko lathered up wonderfully. I had the time to get enough soap on the brush. First pass gave a smooth finish with the grain. Second pass brought it to near BBS. British Sterling is always a good finish to an excellent shave.

A very promising first shave with a new to me Chinese blade. Extremely smooth, and just sharp enough for a 3 pass BBS.
If I can get 4 more similar shaves out of it, I am a fan.
