First use of an AYLM hard soap and Semogue boar, so I wasn't expecting fantastic things, especially after failing miserably with a sample of a soft soap.
I loaded heavily for one minute and was rewarded beautifully. The lather is lighter than my usual tallow soaps, but is that a bad thing? This lather, fully hydrated, is super slick in the primary and superb in the residual. It washes away cleanly, too.
The scent of Fufluns is lovely. I'd liken it to DG Weinstrasse, but much less sweet.
A really enjoyable shave.

Super Sunday SOTD 🪒
Comparison shave.
Pre shave ESC oil.
Hone 15a and Yaqi Sputnik both with Amazon blades.
Simpson Chubby Synthetic.
Rex Supply Co 1955 soap and splash.
RS balm.

Today, I decided to do a comparison between the Yaqi Sputnik and the Hone 15a.
The Sputnik is on loan from my buddy. Thank you, Joe.
The quality of the Hone over the Yaqi is marginally evident with machine marks on the Yaqi, but other than that, it's a well put together razor.
I used the Hone on my left side and the Yaqi on my right, giving the Yaqi the most work to do due to my growth on that side.
Having performed the usual three passes, wtg, xtg, and atg, I noticed that the Yaqi was slightly more efficient than the Hone.
So, a subsequent pick-up pass was done with the Yaqi, resulting in a perfect shave, bbs all over, and no issues. The Amazon blades continue to impress me, and the Rex Supply Co soap and splash is fantastic.
