Not really, I use a soft polish Once every five or six uses and it looks perfect.

Brush: Omega 10051.
Face Lather.
Lather: Haslinger Schafmilch & Lanolin Shaving Soap.
Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack. (D2)
Razor: Parker 55SL Semi-Slant.

A good performance from the Haslinger Schafmilch...My mature skin loves shaving soap. that contains lanolin the slickness and post shave feel it delivers is superb...Wonderful stuff!

I remember when i first started using the Feather type shavettes - and any other shavette or straights for that matter, i used to be quite raw and have a good few nicks afterwards. I am so glad i took the time to improve my technique with them, today i was delivered a very close but also comfortable BBS finish.
A nice post shave routine with my homemade Bay Rum Argan oil and splash.

Schick I1 - Personna Stainless #2 - Yaqi Heavy Metal - Signature Soaps Not Top Secret - Cien Aqua AS - Aloe Vera Gel

Second shave with my newly acquired Schick I, which I was delighted to say, gave me an exceptionally smooth result two days ago, coupled with the alternatively named ‘Not Top Secret’ coconut soap. Who's scent is gorgeous and performance is excellent. When it's released by @Brianh it's highly recommended.
