Hi

Got my new WW handle yesterday so I glued my 24mm Romera Manchurian fan into it immediately and gave it it's first test lather today.

I'm loving the handle, and the softness of the knot actually shocked me. It's amazing. Genuinely right up there with my Simpsons manchurian and Silvertip, but seems to currently have a little more backbone. It will be fascinating to see how the knot develops as it blooms!

To say I'm pleased is an understatement!!!

Not in hand yet. Just approved this and am waiting for the invoice.

A "Becky" style handle with the RCE series #25 horizontal layers color combination.
24mm TGN High Mountain White.

Never tried this kind of knot before.

Nice WW and good choices!!

My last Wolf Whiskers (2 months ago) was RCE #22 Horizontal layers - Black Wolf synthetic & PiDay handle I just noticed some new RCE's in horizontal - checked my credit card balance and waitlist times. Considered the Becky handle in the past, like to get your opinion.

I emailed Peter this morning back and forth and changed the knot. I asked him about the TGN HMW and he said that it's very soft. I don't like that. Should have mentioned what I was hoping for in the beginning.

Am going with a TGN Silvertip Grade A instead. Same size, but lower lofted. I have one of these knots in another brush and love it but it's a different handle entirety. Actually one of the Switchback 400.

I am really looking forward to seeing the brush in person. I don't know what RACE stands for but I really like some of them. The Becky handle caught my eye with the flared top.

And thus ends my year of brush acquisitions.

RCE = Random Color Explosion - blanks made by Wolf Whiskers. Now if someone will tell us what Random Color Explosion means, we will be more educated. I did like the new RCE #25 (yours) and #26.

Peter has all three - excellent service, quality, and price. Easy to deal with - I currently have 2 of his synthetics. The Becky handle is high on my wish list - looks easy to grip.

I've been using the Wolf Whiskers for a few weeks now and I remember that some people asked for feedback on how the knot was. The model I ordered was this one from Handlebar Supply "Wolf Whiskers Shaving Brush- "FPD" in Shadows of Stonehenge- Black Wolf Synthetic"

If you can get one I'd highly recommend it. The quality of the handle turning is top notch and it has decent heft to the weight of it, the addition of fluting to the bottom of the handle is nicely done and gives a great grip. The knot has pretty good backbone and is incredibly soft on the face. It shed a few hairs on the first couple of uses but nothing since. My other synthetic is the Simpsons Chubby 2 and it's a very close call between them both. I think I prefer the Simpsons just very slightly as it is a bit firmer.
