Excellent lather from the Arko shave stick this morning. Very pleased.

Out of half a dozen different shave sticks I have tried none have given a poor performance. I really like them for travel.

I love shave sticks, in particular using them as sticks and getting the soap on the face before lathering. None of this grating into a bowl for me.

Arko and Palmolive are my clear favourites - great lather, great smell, and cheap as chips. I'm working through a La Toja stick at the moment, but although it performs well enough, I don't care for the scent over much. I have some Tabac given to me at Christmas, but am trying to be disciplined and not have too much on the go at once.

I didn't see Derby mentioned in this thread, probably with good reason. It seemed a very hard soap to me and the scent very artificial. It's OK when it's lathered, but its Turkish cousin Arko out-performs it on all counts for my money.

I also enjoy taking a shave stick to the face and lathering as it was intended to be used. A good face latherer can achieve just as good a lather if not better IMHO.

These are the Stick & Puck Versions of the Same Tallow...They Do a Block Soft Soap but its Not Tallow..

Both incredible but I don't like the smell of the stick. The unscented puck in my top 3 all time shave soaps

Nice thread @Robyflexx ! I only just saw this but I use my beloved Valobra stick every time I travel.
My other favourites are Palmolive, DR Harris, LEA ,Speick and Tabac.

Actually I need to stock up haha!

Hi Roby! I have BUT.. sadly it didn't agree with my skin..great lather though..and a nice, subtle scent. But it burned!!
I think the mineral salts gave me a reaction.
