It's strange as I've read reviews on B&B saying it equals the English creams in performance, I really wonder if it's not quite that bad... My water is so hard here :( Rob's going to try a sample so I'll wait and see how he finds it before condemning it.
I use liquid marble from the tap... :(
Anyway it is not very relevant how it is objectively, but what you personally get out of it with your water!

First shave with this relatively recent acquisition, the Schick Injector Type I2 Hydro-Magic on this penultimate day of Decadent December. Although I have a half century’s experience with the Schick Krona, injector razors are a rather new experience, but I do understand why folks like these razors. Sometimes, a first jaunt with a new razor can be problematic, but not in this case. The shave was very pleasant with virtually no blade feel. In fact, I initially thought the razor wasn’t cutting, but a quick check affirmed a nice close first pass. Two passes later was all she wrote delivering a very close near BBS. I didn’t modify anything else from yesterday’s shave. I feel clean, refreshed, and smell of lavender (SWMBO is traveling on business).

RAZOR: Schick Injector Type I2 Hydro-Magic
BLADE: Personna Vintage Injectors
PREP: Cold Water rinse and face scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
CREAM: Gillette Pure
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Fine Lavender Pour Homme

True enough! On the bright side the scent lingers... I can still smell it fairly strongly now and it's been 2 hours. Maybe I'll mix it with some unscented soap/cream.
That's what I do whenever I use this particular cream. Scent is gorgeous, but I mix it with GD, my choice of totally odorless high quality soap. Water is contributing also for final results, maybe worth a try with distilled next time.

I've been thinking of it since long, but i should go downstairs, heat it and brig it up!
And if it cools down...
No deal... :(

It would be perfect also for hot towel!

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney Beehive Ivory Finest (24/50)
Art of Shaving Sandalwood shaving soap (tallow) + Coate's Sandalwood shaving cream (vintage)
Wolfman WR1-OC 0.61/WRH7
Tiger Platinum (1)
Floris Santal aftershave

The Tiger was surprisingly smooth and efficient, especially for such an inexpensive blade, giving me an easy BBS shave. It's only one shave, but I'm impressed.

A pleasant 3 passes with the TOBS Avocado. I wasn't sure I'd like this smelling it from the tub but it's a nice fresh scent once lathered.
