A smooth and comfortable 3 pass shave with the Hiram Commander. No, it doesn’t shave like my beloved Cobra Classic but, it does a very nice job of clearing the whiskers without any fear of cutting oneself and zero irritation (look up the Occam’s/OREN razor write ups and it’s pretty much that besides the gorgeous handle) to speak of. It won’t be replacing the Cobra Classic anytime soon. The Enoch shaves closer to the Cobra. Great evening and wonderful shaves to all....

End of 2019 shave
(with Frankentools)
All of the tools for this shave were “assembled” in my own Dr. Evil’s lab. Soap was made from samples and leftovers for best performance and scent: Nuavia (2), SV (3), B&M (2) and unscented GD, WK, Haslinger and Valobra (one of each). Brush handle was commissioned and custom made to accept the latest Gen. 28mm synth knot and the razor … well, it’s my experimental mix of 3 solid, heavy and beautifully polished parts from different sources for a very comfortable and smoooth shave. I enjoyed 3 passes with absolutely zero irritation and a perfect BBS finish. Great ending of 2019!

This has been my setup for nearly 2 months now. Consistently wonderful results. Shaving every two days, blades are used twice before being discarded. Three passes per shave.
This year may never return again but some of its profoundly sad memories will take long time to be forgotten, if they ever do.
