Great shave, really liking theSargent Stanley, given a good rub in it sets things up nicely. Of for an eye test, know I’m going to need new glasses, think I’ll try Ray Ban Meteors, wayfarer type but with a few tweaks on the Wayfarer Original.

2020-06-30. Tuesday

This morning I ‘felt’ the skin and so, after years, I decided to use a pre-shave.
Actually I can’t say whether it helped or not, but the blade was very mild, which is something that doesn’t always happen with the Feathers.

I’ve also done something else that’s not usual for me: I used a soap whose scent I don’t find a summery one: it’s warm, spicy…
Very good, but more autumny to my nose.
The razor was very mild and, as always, it did its work perfectly.

I preferred not to use any EdT so as not to stress the epidermis. And, this aside,I have a fantastic natural scent!

It would seem that a change of blade has done the trick with The Enoch, and ironed out the slight inconsistency of finish I was getting with other blades. Todays Shave very smooth and comfortable with a Top Notch Close all round finish.

Preshave:
Hot water rinse
Razor: British Gillette Flat Bottomed Tech
Blade: Gillette Nacet (1)
Brush: Plisson Pure Badger (vintage)
Shaving Soap/Cream: Wickham 1912 Magnum
Aftershave Balm: Rock Face Shaving Butter
Aftershave: Old Spice Original

The Nacet/Tech combo is far more suited to my features and ably lubricated by the Wickham soap delivered an easy, bloodless BBS 9/10. Old Spice Original was a delightful way to round off a rewarding experience.

Regards,
Chris
