As a matter of Interest I found that the Feather Proguard worked better with the Oren on Plate 3,rather tham my preferred Schich Proline. I have been using the Oren as a Travel Razor. But neither the Oren/Hiram works close to the nostrils.The Enoch is superb in that area.

On to the Trumper creams and what better way to open than Limes? Also my first time using the R96 courtesy of Harvey @bagman and the BST. This razor is an assertive girl and I picked up a few tiny nicks along the way - the first time in many shaves. She'll need to be handled with care. Also had a reaction to the ASL so my face is a little tender today.

Rather an odd day as I decided to have the foot in the leg opposite to my broken one checked out, since trying out walking in the boot I was getting pain in that foot. An X Ray revealed that it was not broken but I had got Gout. So I have to excerise the broken leg, yet rest the other one with the gouty foot. This little operation took some time, so I have had an evening Shave.

This was my second Shave with the Hiram, which like the Oren seemed ineffective when working around the nostril area. I decided to deal with that area early on in the Shave, and really concentrated and found that my moving th nose, I was able to use the Razor in different angles of attack which proved to be very effective in clearing up the nostril area. All in all I was now very pleased at the way the Shave went as the finish was much better than yesterday. Look forward after a few more Shaves to trying it out on plate 3 and different blades. Big lesson today was that it is often not the Razor to blame for poor results but the Technique of the user.

Brush:- None
Soap/Cream:- Hawkins and Brimble .
Razor/Blade:- Gillette tech and Shark blade (1)’
Post/After-shave: Cocoa Butter and night cream



An old fashioned shave, Hawkins and Brimble shaving cream smoothed on by hand and a new Shark blade, really good very early morning shave

Cocoa butter and night cream mix moisturiser and plenty of it.
