Another early wake that prevented the publication of a new and original photo with the window (anyone in a withdrawal crisis, can contact me for an updated photo of the window).
I like soap even if I have yet to find the right point of water and I like the fragrance even if it is not up to its white sister from Delft.
Today I used, after a long time and in the policy of disposing of stocks, a Personna: it is not bad, but it does not rank on the podium of my favorites and it hasn't been excellent even on a mild razor.
But it did a good job, at least judging by the reaction of my groupies...
Vetiver does not offer the much discussed olfactory continuity with the latherer, but once the face was rinsed, there was no longer any scent trace.
And it's so good...

Cadman Custom - OSP Bay Rum - GEM Micromatic Clog Pruf - Personna injector blade #1 - Alum - BigBoar's №4 Bay Rum - Aloe Vera Gel
After being recently reminded, from a recent post that injector blades can fit this razor I thought, why not.........
I originally thought of the Proline B's but the blade corners are more chamfered, resulting in greater blade exposure. (May try those when I'm feeling braver). So I chose a Personna blade. It was very smooth and was rewarded with a lovely close result. It's nice to have an alternative blade for the Micromatic.

Absolutely. I purchased two of them from a seller on Ebay who is from Canada. I made an offer for both ($80 US. for each I believe) and she accepted. It's getting increasingly difficult to find this Gem of a fragrance and prices have gone to 3-4 times higher from its original release. A shame that it was discontinued. Good luck in your search...

The Occam’s DE is one terrific safety razor. When used with a Feather blade it really can’t be beat! This morning I decided to use one of my preferred shaving soaps, Wholly Kaw King of Oud. The indescribable scent that wafted from the slick, glistening lather whipped up with Jayaruh’s Custom Boar is truly transporting. It brought back my traveling days and the Market in Marrakech. The shave was relaxing, and pleasant with minimal, if any, blade feel, and mimicked my first exposure to this razor - two passes for the face, and one and a half for the dome. I feel clean, smooooth and revitalized this morning.
RAZOR: Occam’s DE
BLADE: Feather
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with PAA’s Charcoal-Menthol Cube Preshave Soap
SOAP: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Thayers Lavender WH and finished with Royall Lyme AS Splash

What plate are you on, i have tried it on Two which it came with and felt the finish could be closer. I use the Oren and find it best on plate 3.

I've used the 3 dot for 2 consecutive shaves. I've used the 3 dot on both versions of the Occam's razors with very good results. But, somehow I'm just a tiny bit off with the Hiram and the 3 dot plate. I'll give it a go with both a Feather Pro and Super and see if that helps in the finishing department....
