Great knot in my new brush (even if it has been set slightly on the wonk). First try of this new GD sample and while it has a weird scent (don’t they all from DG?) it is outstanding. All in all an amazing shave. Incredibly close yet comfortable.

I frequently compare Blackland razors to Porsche cars. Exciting but feel like they ‘could’ bite. The Vector with a Super Feather is like a 911 RS GT3. Awesome and a touch scary but beautiful.

After a good Speick shave of the day, followed an extraordinary one with the Proraso green Super formula.
Even the Karve D OC behaved very nice today in pair with a Bic Astor Blade.
I highly recommend the new Proraso line, a big improvement over the old recipe in terms of skin care and lather protection.
Slowly but surely I think I’m done with fancy and expensive shaving soaps and creams. I’ll tell you after I try the new cream that arrived today from Italy.

Soap/Cream:- Own brew, grated Palmolive shave stick, KOS gel and Palmolive Shaving Cream
Razor/Blade:- Parker 96R and Zorrick blade (2)
Post/After-shave: Cocoa Butter and night cream mix
Fragrance:- Lacoste

Zorrick blade is ok, not great, This is part of a one month challenge, one razor, one make of blade and one soap.

An extremely pleasant Shave with what is now my favourite 1912, taking over from the Gem 1912 Junior. A modern blade works so well in this 1912 from the early 50s. Would be an ideal Razor for anyone wishing to try Vintage SEs, there are even some minty ones around.

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Gillette Fatboy [E4] (9)
Blade: Astra SP (1)
Brush: New Forest 2223 High Mountain Badger
Shaving Soap/Cream: Wickham LE Bleu
Aftershave Balm: Nivea 2 Phase
Aftershave: Jaguar Classic Black EdT

A super smooth shave with the Astra SP, ably lubricated by the Wickham soap. Even with the razor set on 9 there were no nicks or weepers and I'm BBS, marked 9/10.
