A great shave. My first use of the Rosa-Oud soap, and the lather was wonderful. The WR2 combined really well with the big UFO handle, and the Rose Petals aftershave was very soothing.

Preshave: Hot water rinse + bloom water
Razor: Gillette Fatboy [E4] (7)
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Bluish Violet Synthetic
Shaving Soap/Cream: Wickham Citrus Musk
Aftershave Balm: Baylis & Harding Black Pepper & Ginseng
Aftershave: Avon Rugger (vintage)

I can trust this razor to behave well with an Astra SP on a third day, well lubricated by Wickham soap. I'm near BBS, buffed & chuffed, marked 9/10. As for the B&H balm and Avon AS, I'm just using up old stock, they won't be replaced.

A much better Shave today as the blade was comparatively fresh. Though I find the handle on the 1914 quite small, I am always quite surprised at how well I adapt to its use, and how smooth and comfortable the Shave is. I like many think that it is a step up from a 1912, and I am very happy with the quality of todays finished Shave, which is lasting well.
