Review Razorock goat

Thank goodness I found a Weber from a very friend, from The Shaving Room forum, and the Weber is slightly more efficient than the original Merkur 34C, and the Goat standard is slightly more efficient than the Weber.

So, I don’t need a Goat in my den, because the Weber is bloody PERFECT!
I really wish I’d grabbed a polished head Weber back in the day.

For example:-

From a very mild shave:-

EJDE89 & Muhle R89, both the same
Merkur 34C & 34G HD
Weber Razor polish head & black coated head
RazoRock Goat standard
RazoRock Goat plus

To very aggressive shave:-

Can't comment on the Merkur 34 INOX, because, I'm not getting it.
I find my R89 and DE89s to be just a shade more efficient than my 34C which dates from around 2016. Time was I used the 34C almost constantly but now I find it doesn’t serve as well as the ‘89s.

Additionally, the beautifully made stainless 80th anniversary Mühle R89 has, to me, noticeably sharper corners which dig in more than its peasant brethren. I prefer shaving with the Zamak originals, tbh.

If the stupidly named GOAT was more efficient/effective than my older 34C, then I could be tempted especially given the rocking-horse-poop nature of the Weber’s availability. If I could get a PH Weber without the ‘wavy’ blade issue for under £150 then I’d try and grab it by the nutmegs.

I don’t like the matte finish of the 34 Inox one bit and could never consider purchasing one.

I’ll probably just carry on with my standard ‘89s whilst periodically slashing myself with the 3 straights. My DE89 Barley, a muckle Zenith boar knot and Harris, Salter or vintage tallow hard soaps is all I really need. Even the non-tallow Tabac will do when I fancy the the olfactory challenge.

Christ, I’m gibbering proper long-winded crap tonight…

Errol our Aussie shaving reviewer, has already done a review on the Merkur 34 INOX see link below.

And he has also done a review on the Muhle R89 80th anniversary stainless steel model, see link below.

i would had got or thought about getting the r89 or 34ionx if it wasnt that razrock came out with their version before and that nasty branding they had to ruin it with on both they could of engraved it on the bottle base plate like the goat also like my goat + with weber bulldog handle on it

I got this last year and it's definitely worth the investment. 316L stainless steel? Yeah, that thing will outlast me and I can pass it down to my son when the time comes.
