Razorock Gamechanger

I've been using the .68 version for a while now... Since I don't shave daily, it's a bit mild for my taste, but it gets the job done without too much fuss. IMO, the biggest improvement is that ATG pass is more comfortable than when using razors such as DE89/R89. I believe that a more rigid blade makes the biggest difference in that final pass.

One of these days, I might have to try the .84 model and see how the two of them compare. Also, some of Karve plates seem interesting... I guess this rabbit hole has no bottom, does it?

I've had my 0.84 Gamechanger for three days (shaves) now. Astonishing little razor! I can only level one criticism at it, which is I don't like the posts that go through the blade.

Other than that, the shave is as good as anything else in my collection. It competes evenly with some real big boys. The tabs are covered, which just feels like it's well thought out. It's really close, with no drama, no chance of nicks, no irritation. Mine has no finish issues.

Must surely be the best recommendation for anyone starting out in DE shaving.

I completely agree. Combined with the covered tabs, it tends to make the process of removing the blade a bit tedious. I found this to be especially true of PolSilvers since they are such a snug fit. My vintage Gillette blades are easier to set and remove.

I have no criticisms of the .68, it's a solid number two behind my PILS. Love it!

I’ve got a Polsilver in it now and haven’t yet changed the blade, so it sounds like I’ll be cursing those posts shortly.

Got mine yesterday and tried out this morning.
The hype is real. What a great razor. Robust and very efficient. But forgiving at the same time. Normally I always cut myself at least once with a new razor but that did not happen once here.

Gamechanger? I don’t know. But a top, top razor for sure and a bargain at the price.

I’m so close to pulling the trigger on the .84. Any users know how this compares to ATT Calypso R1? I know blade gap is .58 but just wondering how much more aggressive that feels.

0.84 delivered.
Now just to finish my shift, pick up the wee fella from school, game of 5's tonight then shower and see what the fuss is all about.
Will post my thoughts later tonight maybe.
It's a quality razor and when used properly it can provide an outstanding shave. Game changer? ... questionable. Life changer? ... certainly not! Enjoy your new purchase. Cheers!

OK so.......
Head and face shave last night with the 0.84 and Astra SP blade and I have to say the razor performed flawlessly.
WTG then ATG on the dome and WTG then XTG on the chops. 3 days growth gone.
For me this razor hit the sweet spot. No weepers, no irritation and the right amount of aggression. Superb.
Love the handle, super knurled and though the polish isn't as sparkling as my chrome coated razors, for the price the fit and finish is first class.
Only thing I would say is the posts on the base plate are a really snug fit so it was a little fiddly fitting the blade.
Could this replace the Rockwell 6C as my top razor.......quite likely and the Karve has a lot to live up to when it arrives.
Yip could not be happier!
