I grew up and still live near the local airport. During that time I enjoyed watching both piston engined and jet engined military aircraft use our airport as a transit point and air shows. The one plane that stands out in my mind to this day is the Canadair F86 Sabre and in particular Golden Hawks air show.

These early jet fighters were something else, a favourite of mine was the English Electric Lightning
