Review Proraso White Soap (Super Formula)

Proraso-USA website says about the preshave: "Same classic formula, refreshed look."

They also did that with the aftershave lotions, new packaging but same ingredients... Some crazies on B&B were claiming they had a higher concentration of witch hazel compared to the old version but INCI was the same, I couldn't tell any difference in use either. To be fair they were perfectly fine as was and didn't need improving, just annoying they put "super formula" on all the new packaging as it's misleading.

So all this 'super formula' stuff is nonsense? I have the white pre shave in both formats and cannot tell the difference other than the obvious change in jar shape. Have I got this right? It is all the same formula not super or changed in any way? Just different packaging.

As @Dr Watson mentioned, the pre shaves are just different jars with the same ingredients list. The same happens with the aftershaves.

The creams & soaps though, are better performance based, slicker and denser than the previous original formula.

I'm not saying that you will toss all your other soaps, but they are definitely better and provide an excellent shave for the price.

The Green balm is different. It is improved...

Old one:

Super Formula:
Aqua (Water / Eau), Glycerin, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Betaine, Dodecane, Butyrospermun Parki (Shee) Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Tocopheryl Acetate, Menthyl Lactate, Menthol, Eucalyptus globulus Leaf Oil, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium Glutamate Di acetate, Sodium Hydroxide, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Coumarin.
