You know what i'd forgot how good Bepanthan was until just now. it all floods back. I've got tats and i'd used it on all of them post inking and it is the magic that helps heal protect and keep hydration in while lettin shin breath. Ok off to boots to grab me some right now
I swear by it for tats, seems to heal up really quickly with no scabbing.

Forgot to mention Germolene cream. It will moisturise and has a mild anaesthetic to keep irritation at bay, also antiseptic properties. Just don't get into daily use with it.

Preparation H Cream (not gel - also excellent for tattos btw), Neutragena and E45 will all do a decent job for you. Just in case you have come into some cash Elemis Daily Moisture Boost is very good, they also have other items in the range which would suit too - but the DMB is the best.

Thats thats the sort of stuff I need. The curing stuff when its got f'd up and you need to heal your soreness. I have plenty goto's for everyday post shave to hydrate and provide the basic all round. But what i've needed is the cure for skin stripping that i've caused by over zelouse overshaving.

Of course if you really want to fix it, get the doc to write you a prescription for Flamazine, it's awesome stuff, specifically for burns.

Keep it in your fridge door and apply. Germolene is always my go to.

I'm making contact to source some of this right now lol
Cinnamon basil made all the difference when I tried this some time back. Also it is as natural as you can get. I used to make my own rose water in large batches but you need time, patience and a working bunsen burner!

I would really like to do this but i'm one of those blokes that will do it by half measures when it comes to baking or making stuff thats too much work. Now mixing basic base oil with rose water pre brought or rose otto or absolute not a big prob but heat extracting my own rose water lol gona give it a miss. I wanted to make up my own rose skin food so was wondering whats the best things to add

Looks like you have found a fix for now in Bepanthen. In case it doesn't do it: For me, the trick has been to give shaving a break for a day and to put on some proraso white pre(/post) cream ("post" in parentheses because it used to say on the jar but at some point it started saying only pre; not sure why). I also concur with @Nishy that Pitralon is a wonderful post shave treatment.
