Photo files too big

Noting has changed on the forum software, well to my knowledge anyway. Max photo size is 2048kb, 600*600 pixels. Plenty of room on the disk space allocation.

Ah, sorry. The shortcut thing looked useful and I intended to try it myself but hadn’t gotten around to it yet.

Edit - Shortcut thing didn’t work for me either, I’ve deleted the post.

Yeah, cropping’s not the best option.

It’s strange, following the instructions it all works but it doesn’t save a resized picture like it says it does.

There are steps missing. This one works, I’ve tested it.

Thing is I’ve not had a problem with size before 🫣 and I’m not alone.
You can’t resize from iPhone in a straight forward way

Same for my Pixel. No sizing option.
I can downgrade the quality but that means changing the settings back and forth.

I have exactly the same issue that appear more than a week ago !

On an iPhone iwhen you select the photograph to post there is an option button, that has 4 size options

Just done this one I took yesterday, scale is difficult but this beatle was almost small bird size!
