Yeah tried that, think this pair have lost their scratch coating too. New ones in July when I have my eye test. Just a thought does Alcohol remove coatings over a period of time ?
As far as I am aware, alcohol doesn't degrade the anti-reflective coating. However, time will. A bit of advice, never wipe your anti-reflective lenses with a dry cloth, or wipe. They will scratch.

Did try them wet wipe spectacle cloths, terrible ! Always use a soft cloth and alcohol every so often.

Alchahol removes any protection on a car and as far as I know glass as well. After machine polishing a car you have to panel wipe them to remove any oils or protection for a coating to be then applied. So for cleaning it is brilliant but it will strip waxes and sealants. Many respects. J.

New Cubitts glasses received tokay. Glasses are fine. BUT they offer a free upgrade to a different case for them. I opened up the parcel, no upgraded case. After an exchange of emails I have to send the cheaper one they sent in error back and they will then send me what I ordered. 10/10 for the glasses, service wise a generous 2/10 based on the speed of response, explaining what was missing was a bit of a trial. I sent them a photo of what I had received and it still confused them even though the item mentioned was not in the photo. Best wait until it’s sorted for me to review them on TrustPilot.

Please guys tell me if I am wrong or out of order with the girl at Cubitts ?

When I ordered my frames there was an offer to upgrade the car to a Redux Case, a snazzy looking leather case, all for free. So opening up the box, no Redux case. So I contact them. I then have an exchange of emails where the girl is trotting off to ”the lab” and speaking to them. Then I get the offer of sending the slip case I received incorrectly back, then the offer of click and collect to send the cheap slip case back. I then gave in and told her it was too much trouble for something that was their error. She then explains that she doesn’t know if my frames will fit in that case anyway. DOESN’T know FFS ! I have just replied and told her that was a disgusting statement to a customer. Rubbish customer service from what appears from her photo on the chat thread just a young girl.

Sorry but if you offer something, it should fit and it should be dispatched. End of. Crap three star review left on TrustPilot !

Well ! That all ended very well and quickly. I managed to get the email address from the CEO of Cubitts. He got on to the Business Manager. He’s had a look at the email exchange and agreed saying “we dropped the ball”. He’s sending me the missing case, monogrammed with my initials and including some clip on sunglasses. That’s service !
