OneBlade CORE

Received my OB Core today, I was surprised to find it on the doorstep when I got back from a bike ride. No demand for import duty or VAT, just sitting there on the doorstep.
Just finished my first shave with it and I'm totally satisfied with the result and the quality of the razor.
Yes, there is a rough bit of plastic where the head has been disconnected from the mould but you'd have to be very picky to be upset over it.
I have not shaved for two days and have quite a heavy beard so it was a good test for what is undoubtedly a mild razor, I made two passes, WTG and ATG and a third touch up pass. Results were in line with what I get from the Genesis, excellent.
I had to change technique a little bit by applying more pressure than I do with the Genesis, I guess thats due to the lighter weight of the head.
I feel sorry for the people that have received poor quality or faulty razors but my advice is to get an exchange and give it another try.
For those who say they can't get a decent shave with several passes I hesitate to say this, but you're not doing it right and haven't found the OB technique so I would say keep trying.
I bought mine primarily for travel but I'd be happy for it to be my regular razor.

Blackmass I think it may be a bit more than that..

Razor $50+ shipping $8= £44.50 approx

If you get done with customs charges then it's 20% of £44.50 which is £8.90 plus another £8 Royal Mail charges.

This gives a total price of £61.40 approx.

I think my maths is correct.

Hope this helps.

It's... alive!
I Really need to think twice now about ordering from abroad.. it's hard when there are so many new products coming out.
I keep thinking the same thing. The trouble is, it's quite difficult to tell which ones are going to be available locally and when.
Take PAA and RR products, for example. In the UK/EU, the available selection seems almost random.

After receiving the Core here in Greece and having to pay abt 60% of its original value in taxes and processing fees, first shave earlier today.

End result is a broken head.

I shaved all right, came out of the shower and started getting dressed, then I did the customary: took a microfibre towel fully covering my left (open/facing upwards) palm, grabbed the OB Core with my right hand and planned softly hitting the razor (with my right hand) in the mf towel, to take any water droplets out. Blade had already been removed.

First downward motion of my right hand, razor hits the mf towel in my left palm, and I hear the "snap" in the razor head.

Cannot say I did not perhaps hit the razor excessively in my left palm, and will write this to OB. May be it is 100% my fault.

Spring pivot function does not work at all, head rotates back/forth but and locks in the 'far back' position (no spring pivot function). That's it.

A dead razor, practically... Let's see what OB will have to say.

Same position as above but with camera flash on:

Profile view, head rotated fully forward:

And now two pictures with the head rotated and pushed/clicked as far back as it can go:

It does not take much effort to do that, I managed to pop the head out of position as well but just by trying to get a blade out the first time. It took quite a bit of effort to get the head back in place, you can see in your 2nd from last photo where the head jams against the inside of the handle and it was getting past here that was the tricky bit. You also have to get the spring back in place without damaging the spring, I took the spring out and reversed it as it was not moving smoothly at first.

My Core seems to work OK now, but I have just emailed OneBlade about getting the v2 Core as I do find it a very mild razor.

It is very clear from your photos that this was NOT the first shave....

Unfortunately for you and your certainty of opinion (which is more than welcome nonetheless), it was indeed my first shave with this razor today.

I have absolutely no reason here or anywhere else to falsify information and/or claim facts which are not true. If ever, in other cases, I may make a mistake in my descriptions or opinions, it is most likely because I have not paid enough attention - and this will not happen because I do it intentionally to deceive someone but because out of comfort I usually tend to look more at the large picture instead of paying attention to the little details.

The soap (Acca Kappa Barber Shop line) used today was more than plentiful, when publishing the pictures I myself noticed the excessive 'dirt' but can only assume it is because of that.

Regardless, I have never ever spoken/written towards you offensively and equally don't think I have ever allowed you to speak, refer to, or comment upon my posts in such a manner. Therefore please do not ever write about, comment on or criticize again any of my posts in such a prejudiced and offensive manner, and/or without having available the absolute pieces of evidence which support your subjective critique.

Sorry, but YOU do not get to bully people into not callng you on B.S. Your own pictures are worth 1000 words. I can believe that you broke your razor as you described, but I will not ignore obvious discrepancies which you yourself provided. There was simply no need to embellish upon your story.

It does look whiteish in the places where lather is difficult to remove i.e in all the crevices. The white spots on the handle might well be from the picture. This I have personal experience with, from the used razors I buy . In the picture they show white spots like these here. but in reality there is none.
