I spent a little time in Italy in the past and was told, by someone who knew extensively about food that nobody makes their own pasta anymore, apart from Ravioli and that many, many restaurants just use Barila dried pasta (apart from making their own Ravioli)

They also said the tales of getting up at 6am to make the fresh pasta for the day ahead is just a tale for Tourist's.
Also my understanding,

A relative has an Italian restaurant and they buy everything in, even some sauces.

I’ve given up on mushy supermarket pasta. I now buy this from an Italian deli and pay through the nose for it - £5 for 500g.

We each have a choice: buy food made to a price or made to a standard.
Glad you are happy with your choice. OTH, I was referring to food I had bought for years and been happy with until the producers seemed to have changed their standards downwards imho. That leaves me with no choices other than to reluctantly accept it.

900 plus cases of measles in South Carolina. Healthcare officials urge vaccines.
" Measles is a highly contagious disease that causes a high fever, rash, cough and red eyes. It can lead to life-threatening complications, like brain inflammation and pneumonia. It’s caused by a virus. "
From the Cleveland Clinic Measles: Rash, Causes, Symptoms, Treatment & Prevention
The price of freedom of choice is it? No need to worry about that end of the gene pool.

Everyone of my generation had measles, chicken pox, and mumps, just normal childhood stuff. Since I've had the measles I am now immune for life. The damn flu is the one that'll kill ya. 🤒
You need a bubble suit to be 100% completely diseased FREE! Only problem that will kill you is HEAT AND NO OXYGEN!

Herein lies the problem, I might contract an infection with few complications or symptoms. Another person, possibly immune compromised, might contract the virus from me and die.

There is a tendency to use past events to predict future outcomes. It is a common occurrence indicating a lack of critical thinking.

It makes no sense to utter the words that no vaccine guarantees immunity as nobody ever said it did. That is except for the misinformed.

With the rush back to the idea of the good old days of no vaccines as becoming attractive, I now merely get my yearly shots for my own good. You simply can't worry about the good of others.

I remember the days of no vaccines and all the misery that came with it. There were needless deaths and/or life long side effects for those who got infected. I worked with people who had deformed legs for the rest of their lives from Polio. The local museum even has an iron lung as a reminder of that time. People with TB were placed in isolation hospitals to either recover or die there. Never mind the time before antibiotics when people died from simple infections. Yea, the good old days ...... not.

This is what happens individual rights become detached and supersede the idea of individual responsibility for others in their community/country. You can't fight that type of retrograde progress.

My aunt was partially deaf thanks to childhood measles and I used to work with a man who had a deformed leg from polio.
Polio is an awful viral infection that can spread easily. Most people infected have no symptoms and appear healthy but can spread the virus everywhere they go. Children, unfortunately, are most vulnerable because they are grouped together in schools and churches and playgrounds and one infected child can easily spread it to others in the group. And then there's VDPV, (vaccine-derived poliovirus), a weakened virus oral vaccine that doesn't cause infection in the person vaccinated, but can spread the virus to others who aren't vaccinated.

If you are going to use AI, please cite your references. This is because the trend is toward IPV rather than OPV polio vaccines which would have been included in any objective and evidenced based resource.

Yes, it's horrible. This is why the fact that it's been virtually eradicated by vaccination is a good thing.
