Here's my Fatip Frankenrazor - the poor man's Karve OC or Charcoal Goods Level 2. Weighs 108g, all solid brass and fit and finish is very good. Uses a Yintal Bronze cap and handle, which I cut a bit off and rounded up. That was $12 off AliExpress. It's efficient and very solid, and the handle is very grippy. Looks nice too.Fatips are nice. I have an open comb from their line. Really good shaver if you ride the cap.

HereThis Karve looks like a Gillette vintage, A tech in Gold.Is the cap the same dimension as the Tech one?
Can you do a side comparison as well please? Thanks !Here![]()

Thanks for that - I'm in the UK too. So given that customs are being charged it makes more sense to buy top cap and plate in one go and hope to get it right. In any case I'd be waiting for the open comb plates. On the other hand, there may be a fair chance that other Old Type style 2 stud top caps would fit the Karve plates. Anyone tried that and can confirm? For anyone thinking of buying additional plates, the plate and postage was £25, £3 VAT, £8 Royal Mail customs processing charge. Annoyingly, $30 Canadian is just above the VAT threshold.
