Got mine later on today before the delivery office closes and had a shave with OC-C plate/Astra SP, had 2-3 days growth on, my beard grows slow tho.

First impressions are pretty good, there is a certain blade feel, not overly but it`s there as I can hear my beard being cut, slightly less blade feel than Fatip that I`m used to. Definitely smoother vs fatip, 2 passes and it was DFS. Which is what I used to do with Fatip but 2 passes with Karve gave me closer shave than Fatip would.

I wouldn`t call OC-C mild in my book. For example mild for me was Razorock Babysmooth, it was so mild that I only used 2 times, I needed 3 maybe 4 passes with RR BS where I can be done with 2 passes with Fatip and Karve OC-C.

No irritation, very small cut near my adams apple but I was being reckless as it felt so smooth and went fast a bit.

Blade aligning is perfect and its so rigid. That aint moving anywhere, I`m gonna try the blades that I didn`t like using with Fatip such as GSB, Feather, GIllette 7oclock sharp edge etc. Those blades felt very harsh to me on Fatip. I`ll see how they feel in Karve.

I`m happy that I went with OC-C plate probably could have done with OC-D plate too but not anything above that.

£20 is better than a slap in the face with a wet cod. I'm getting closer to ordering......
Mine With 2 plates was just under £ 20 and £8 of that was a royal mail fee , one thing to be aware of is that at present the import allows for £130 including shipping from Canada , just keep it under that as you only pay VAT , not VAT + Duty as you would above £ 130.

West Coast Shaving will be selling OC plates soon, according to their email newsletter.
They also mentioned Karve sending them “a sneak peek of a new offering coming soon”.

Looks like Chris is busy with a new brass handle pattern...
Between keeping up with all orders, this, the plastic razor he advertised on April 1st, I wonder if he’s still working on a stainless steel razor at all.
Slightly disappointing that he hasn’t mentioned anything about that for quite a while now..

Yup. I don’t mind the %20 VAT. But that £8-9 handling charge hurts.
If it’s any consolation, Danish Customs charges 160 DKK (about £18) plus 25%Vat. Which is why I try to keep all my purchases EU only, unless there really is no alternative.

I purchased the Karve with the D plate when the razor first came out, I used it once and put it away (too mild and for me and the head is too bulky). The razors I use are a CG L3 DC, PAA Ascension SS with a shim and the Gillette Single Ring in which I use 3 of them (2 with a shim) the most aggressive of these razors is the U.S Army head (no shim in this one) I also switched out the Ball End handles for a Stork Aristocrat 13 x 90 in SS and Brass.

Now with that said I purchased the F plate when it came out and still did not like it though there are a lot of people who use the A-E plates and would never use the F plate, yet the F plate was still too mild for my liking as well as the feedback was not there.

I didn't give up just yet and when the F OC plate came out I purchased it and this plate gave me what I wanted, good blade feel, smooth and efficient with good feedback, a lovely shaver for someone like me. How would I rate this plate compared to my other razors, it is a notch below my Single Ring. That being said I still have issues with the head design to bulky for me, other than that it is a lovely smooth aggressive razor that I feel would not disappoint someone who likes aggressive smooth efficient shavers.

Not sure how agressive people consider Supply SE with Plate 3 and own Personna blades.

That for example compared to Karve was mild or inefficient and was hard to find the angle, it took me nearly 3 passes and wasn’t even a close shave probably could have done 4 passes. It left my skin red.

Luckily my friend pif’ed that to me. He had same experience plus the cuts and nicks.
