I don't think they were ever in stock. Muhle USA did the same thing. Showed them on their website for a week then said out of stock now they are gone. All removed including the brushes.
They actually were in stock. I had one in my cart and almost ordered one but reavised myself as I would prefer the all black jet version:)

I'm quickly losing all interest.
Same here. I got very bored a while ago with how things seemed to be heading in the shaving world. Wolfman, Paladin, M&F etc etc..... Stuff continually raved about, but unobtainable to all but a lucky few. I guess if you were in the lucky few that's great, but it seems that the business model nowadays is to keep interest high by providing nowhere near enough stock for everyone. The stranger thing is that it seems to work?!?!?

I can't be overly bothered anymore, if I like something and it's easy to get great, if not, sod it!

Matt

Ps - Ironically I did actually get a couple of Paladin's, but sold them both as I wasn't all that smitten with them!

Mühle stated that the production will be scarce at the begining, but will rapidly increase and the razor should be widely available with time. But I understand your statement.

I just realised how miserable I sounded in that post, so apologies! :)

I still agree with everything I wrote, but I shouldn't be moaning about stuff that brings others joy!!!

You keep buying guys and i'll clear up from the BST when your bored with it!! ;-)

I'm not so disinterested that I wouldn't snap one up if I see them for sale on a website, but I'm no longer counting R96s to get me to sleep at night.

You should not apologie, I would also be "pissed" if the Mühle rocca was not widely available and would become a "wolfman availability case". But I hope the statement Mühle made about the increasing availability is true and that it will become available without having to endure some waiting list or some race to the checkout :)

Meanwhile, Roccas are available again gents.
But, where is the DLC ?
They seemed to have had some quality problems in the production, but the problems are resolved now. They just put out a small number of units, but the production will increase over the next weeks and they also started to send some to the first retailers. I was lucky enough to get one yesterday, it's already on it's way. :)

The DLC version will be released in January, apparently there was an issue with the coating, so they had to delay it. The price btw. will be identical to that of the birch bark version (99€ razor, 109 € Silvertip Fibre, 119 € silvertip badger).

Same way here when I read the cliché 'shipping CONUS ONLY' :cursing:

I was wondering if the otherwise controversial TTIP agreement will lift the barriers.

Hopefully in stock at some UK/EU vendors at reasonable prices soon. If I read previous posts correctly, Muhle USA was 50% higher.

I have started to really love the Apple iPhone process. Announce on day 1, preorders on day 7, delivery on day 14.

The Rocca arrived today just in time for a first shave.
It looks great and I really like the look of the handle with the birch bark. The Razor feels a bit top-heavy, but with the birch bark you have a lot of grip.

As I said, it was just my first shave with the Rocca (2x wtg, 1x atg), so I can't say very much, only that it was ok.
It seems not to be as mild as the R89, but also not as aggressive as the R41. When shaving, the Rocca feels a little bit more aggressive than it is. I had the impression, that I felt the blade a little bit more.
I have a somewhat sensitive skin, and I had no irritation after the shave.

Still have to find the right angle when I shave with the grain. But the stubble still standing after 2 passes WTG were gone after one pass ATG.
No blood, no irritations and a smooth shave. So I would say it was a good start for the Rocca and me but I need more shaves to say more.
