Spent most of the morning weeding and generally tidying the back garden. After lunch I had the hose jet gun out cleaning all the bird crap (bloody pigeons!) off the big trampoline, finishing off with a pad and a stiff brush.

Then it was time for one of those jobs that always needs doing but keeps being put off, tidying the shed. Took everything out, brushed the floor, dumped a load of unwanted junk and put back tidy all that was left. Very satisfying.

Now having a sit down.

we did as well... our group used to play a couppla board games on the Soltices... since there are some rules in those board games that change on the Soltices...
Thousands turn up at Stonehenge, not entirely sure what they get out of it

Sunrise in my town is currently 4:37 and with the heatwave that is the time I get up, I am just thinking, 'passed the hump, two more minutes each day before sun up.'

A friend and I used to mourn the short days of December, and our spirits revived on December 21. Soon afterwards I had to remind myself that after the Summer Solstice the days would again slowly get shorter as we slide toward Autumn.

As side note, I have front door wreaths which represent the seasons. The Spring on goes up on March 1, the Summer, June first, the Fall on, September 1 and the Winter/Holiday on Dec 1. It's a fun way to mark Season.

People seem to be marking the seasons here a lot more especially autumn. The door wreaths that go up for autumn I actually prefer to the Winter ones. They’re very nice.

if my brain remembers this info correctly... Stonehenge might have been built and aligned with the Summer Soltice... so thousands of people go there for whatever reasons during the Summer Soltice...
