Grumpy old man
For the past eight days in terms of food I have had 2 apples, one banana and I tried to eat a bowl of cereal, couldn't get it down. That is all.

Eight days ago I had a large meal, nothing crazy just rice, tomatoes and some fresh pineapple to follow. Indigestion soon followed and has not gone away, plus pain in my lower back and abdomen, complete loss of appetite, belching and so on. The pain keeps me up at night but I am very loathe to take painkillers with a stomach issue. I don't think indigestion should last that long.

You shouldn't do it but Dr Google is steering me towards a pancreas issue, probably right. Only 12% of people recover from pancreatic cancer, if that is the end result. Seeing the doctor on Wednesday next for blood tests and an examination.

You can imagine that this is a weight on my shoulders.
Yes, I can imagine the huge weight on your shoulders. I hope all goes well for you after seeing the doctor as there are other reasons for your condition that the doctor may be familiar with. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Don't rule out your gallbladder. I had mine removed about 8 years ago; the symptoms can be extremely painful, and you could have a gallstone stuck in your bile duct.

Very true, I also understand that some household insurance companies will not pay up if you fail to make it secure and be able to prove, after the event that you made it secure. Might not be a particular financial issue for a replacement trampoline but fixing personal injuries or car damage is a different story.
