I’m currently trying to manage bowel movements whilst losing weight AND taking a fairly strong opioid painkiller for my arthritic knees. It’s not easy and has been two days since my last visit. Once a day Movicol sachets to soften the stool. I’ve lost confidence in breaking wind which is to say I cross everything hoping that it is indeed, just wind.💨

Mundane eh?

Not quite mundane, but somewhat moving.

Graeme, pain medication is like a hideous mask. I was there. For close to a decade I did a plethora of physical therapy, meniscus repairs, debridements, stem cells, PRP therapy, topical potions, acupuncture. Pain meds were a joke. If you’re that incapacitated, you may be ready to start thinking about knee replacements. I did bilateral TKRs on the same day over seven years ago, and it was the best remedy of all.

I have been in touch with my surgeon and managed to get a cancellation for 21st April but they’re not keen on giving me new knees. I am far too overweight for any sort of healthy lifestyle but I’m gonna have a hard crack at that. I just want to live in less pain, be able to do the things I like and help my family and friends in the ways I know I can. Time to quit moaning and saddle up. Cheers lads.

Cable TV, home phone and broadband.

My contract is due end of April, going up from £64 a month to £140, I found this difficult to justify to be honest.

Made a call to them, by the time we had finished the TV package went up to £170 but with the discounts that were available the final price was £48 a month, mainly because I have been a long term customer I think

I was happy to pay an increase over the 2025 price but a good reduction is very welcome.

That's a great result. We were pushed quite hard when we renewed our Broadband but if you get in touch with them and bounce things around there are deals to be had. Well done 👍

I am sorry. As you know the opioid slows down gut motility.
