That's such a shame. I suppose it's somewhat similar to Stirling, very cheap in America but more pricey here. After reading this thread and becoming enabled, I looked into getting some Monsavon from across the pond. Soon found the shipping makes it not such a bargain anymore. Think I'll wait till I am in Europe again to pick some up. Might be a while though with this pandemic.

Sadly even if one of us sent you some it'd be $20 for postage. After reading this thread and becoming enabled, I looked into getting some Monsavon from across the pond. Yea, I realise that and was not trolling for anything. Just making a comment how shipping/postage can make something much less of a bargain. That is where the loss of free shipping with a minimum order really is felt.Sadly even if one of us sent you some it'd be $20 for postage.
I never suggested you were. Sadly you are in the position most of the members here find themselves in when they need a new U.S Artisan offering. Thank goodness for Maggards.Yea, I realise that and was not trolling for anything. Just making a comment how shipping/postage can make something much less of a bargain. I believe you are located in Canada (Terre de nos aïeux), if you are not in a hurry (give me a few weeks/months), I could probably send you a flatten Monsavon* sample (a bit less than 100g in a plastic bag/ziplock) in an envelope. Of course you will not get the container, but there is nothing to write home about, trust me.Yea, I realise that and was not trolling for anything. Thank you very much for your kind and generous offer especially considering the pandemic but I can wait till I am able to get back to Europe for a visit.I believe you are located in Canada (Terre de nos aïeux), if you are not in a hurry (give me a few weeks/months), I could probably send you a flatten Monsavon* sample (a bit less than 100g in a plastic bag/ziplock) in an envelope. * it's a croap, if dried it would become even lighter.
Sorry if I misunderstood. Yes, I hope Maggards can still offer reasonable shipping after the changes to international postage regulations that I read about in a different thread on here.I never suggested you were.
