@Paul I want to be clear in the fact that I have no complaints about my brush, I just was answering a question from @Randomangle that is further up the thread and he said he had emailed you.
He wanted to know from me if mine was coated or not as he likes the oxidisation and I had no idea so I posted a few photos of mine.

Folk Soap Testers from across the street came today. Looking forward to giving it run out next week.
The soap is a generous 60g cake with crackin' artwork, the aftershave label is a knock up as the bottles are smaller than normal, these are done on the pc printer as the correct labels would not fit the tester bottle.
Looks like the Vintage scuttle will be getting used for the trial.
The soap will be tested with some Simpson Best badger knots. A quick hand lather produced plenty of nice creamy lather, the scent is a sweet Bay Rum which is not too overpowering. I have not tried the splash on the skin however its a good match to the soap.

I hope it's as good as they used to be, and they were really nice pretty much from the start.

Which label do you have in mind?
I just checked their current offering, and none of them really looks like that.
One has a floral, circular pattern, but it's actually pretty different from the one Folk Soap use on theirs.
Adding to that, the Celtic knot is a popular pattern that's hundreds of years old, and so are circular patterns on pretty much anything that's circular, such as a round tub of shaving soap.
